Golf Benefits on UAE Credit Cards: Free Rounds, BOGO, Tee Time Discounts
A round at the Emirates Golf Club, Jumeirah Golf Estates or the Yas Links will cost you AED 700–1,400 just in green fees. Add cart, club rental and buggy fee and a single round on a top UAE course can clear AED 1,800. For UAE residents who play monthly, the green-fee line item is one of the biggest discretionary spend categories on the card statement.
Several credit cards in the UAE offer golf benefits, including free rounds, buy-one-get-one tee times, and off-peak discounts. This article maps out what is actually on offer in 2026, what courses they cover and how to get the value out.
The four formats of UAE golf benefit
UAE banks structure golf perks in four ways.
First, complimentary green fees — the cardholder gets a certain number of free rounds each year at a partner course. This has been offered on Emirates Golf Club, Address Montgomerie or Trump International by Mashreq Solitaire and selected ENBD private banking products. The annual quota is generally 4 to 12 rounds.
Second, buy-one-get-one (BOGO) green fees: pay for one player, second plays free. ADCB Touchpoints, Standard Chartered Visa Infinite X and HSBC Premier World Elite have all run BOGO deals at different course networks.
The third is off-peak discount tee times — 20–40% off published green fees during weekday afternoon slots. RAKBANK and Citi cards have done this through the GolfNow or ClubCorp UAE programme partners.
The fourth is a golf access membership, which is a year-long pass to discounted rates across a network of courses. Some premium card networks (Mastercard World Elite UAE benefits, Visa Infinite golf programme) include access to the Troon Privé Card or equivalent international course network, which spans Trump International Dubai, Yas Links and a handful of other UAE properties.
Courses commonly covered
Below is the list of major UAE courses appearing on credit card golf programme lists in 2026:
Emirates Golf Club (Faldo and Majlis courses, Dubai). Premium pricing, top-end course quality. Often tied to Mashreq Solitaire and Standard Chartered Visa Infinite X benefits.
Address Montgomerie (Dubai). Mid-to-premium pricing, strong amenities. Frequent BOGO partner.
Jumeirah Golf Estates (Dubai). Hosts the DP World Tour Championship. Premium pricing, accessibility to non-members varies.
Trump International Golf Club (Dubai). Very premium pricing. Limited credit card access programmes.
Yas Links (Abu Dhabi). The region's top-ranked links course. Etihad Guest premium card holders often enjoy preferential rates.
Saadiyat Beach Golf Club (Abu Dhabi). Premium ocean-side course. Common HSBC Premier and ADCB benefit partner.
Al Hamra Golf Club (Ras Al Khaimah). Mid-range pricing. A standard off-peak BOGO partner for the lower-tier bank cards.
Tower Links (Ras Al Khaimah). Mid-tier, accessible BOGO target.
Cards and what they actually deliver
Mashreq Solitaire traditionally offers 4–6 complimentary rounds per cardholder year at Emirates Golf Club or partner courses. Access is generally restricted to weekday off-peak slots and mandatory advance booking via the bank's concierge. Realised value: AED 2,800–6,000 a year for an active golfer, a significant contribution against the AED 4,500–5,500 annual fee.
Standard Chartered Visa Infinite X offers BOGO green fees at a network that includes Address Montgomerie and Saadiyat Beach. For a household where two players go monthly this can clear AED 7,000–10,000 of value per year, again material against the annual fee.
HSBC Premier World Elite Mastercard has BOGO and discounted tee times through a bank-managed booking portal. The course list varies by promotion window; check the live offer rather than the brochure.
ADCB Touchpoints cards include 20–40% partner-course discounts at selected courses, redeemable through Touchpoints redemption rather than cash discount. For Touchpoints accumulators, this is a strong burn route.
In the past, FAB Etihad Guest Infinite at top tier has teamed up with Yas Links and Saadiyat for cardholder rates. The Abu Dhabi–based Etihad cardholder gets the best access in the capital.
What the marketing leaves out
The free-round benefits on UAE cards generally come with three caveats: weekday only, must be booked in advance, and the quota is counted per cardholder year, not calendar year. If you miss the booking window or try to redeem on a weekend, the benefit is gone for that month.
Cart fees, club rental, range balls and buggy fees are typically NOT included. A "free round" still costs AED 200–400 at most premium courses for the buggy and add-ons. Factor that into the math.
Guest fees: if the benefit is only for the cardholder, bringing a partner means paying full price for the second player. BOGO benefits explicitly cover the partner; complimentary-round benefits often do not.
Realistic annual value calculation
So, if you live in the UAE and play 18 holes once a month at a premium course, your cash baseline is AED 14,000–18,000 a year in green fees. A Mashreq Solitaire or Standard Chartered Visa Infinite X with 6 complimentary rounds plus 6 BOGO rounds covers about half to two-thirds of that — AED 7,000–11,000 of realised value. The annual fee of AED 4,000–5,500 is paid for in golf alone.
The math just doesn't work for the casual golfer playing 4 rounds a year. You'll find that pay-as-you-go on a regular card is cheaper than keeping a premium card just for the golf benefit.
How to maximise value
Book through the bank's concierge or app, not direct with the course — the partner rate often won't appear on the course website. Verify the cart fee and add-ons before you arrive. Stack the benefit with any active ENTERTAINER 2-for-1 dining offer at the clubhouse for full-day value. And take the quota seriously: keep tabs on your free rounds and BOGO redemptions so you don't end up at the cardholder anniversary with three unused.
If you actually play, golf is one of the highest-value lifestyle benefits on a UAE premium card. If you don't, it's irrelevant. Choose accordingly.
