Why we exist

The UAE credit card market is loud and confusing. Twenty-plus banks, hundreds of products, dozens of features that sound similar but behave very differently in practice. Most residents pick a card because of a cashback billboard, a friend's recommendation, or whichever bank stopped them at the mall — and many of them quietly regret it within the first year.

We built this site to fix that. Every credit card listed here is benchmarked on the things that actually matter day to day: minimum salary, real annual fee, foreign exchange mark-up, rewards rate, lounge access, and whether the perks are genuinely useful or just brochure decoration.

How we stay independent

We do not work for any UAE bank, and no bank pays us to rank their card higher. When you click Apply Now, you are taken straight to the issuing bank's official application page. Some banks have affiliate partnerships with us, and where that's the case we disclose it openly on the relevant card. Our editorial ranking is decided before any commercial conversation, and we never re-order results based on commission.

If we ever get a better deal for you than going direct, we'll surface it. If we don't, we'll tell you to apply directly with the bank.

How the data is sourced

Card details come from a mix of bank product pages, the UAE Banks Federation, the Central Bank of the UAE Schedule of Charges, and direct conversations with bank representatives. We refresh prices and fees roughly every quarter, and any time a bank announces a major change. If you spot a discrepancy, please tell us via the Contact page and we'll fix it within a working day.

bestcreditcard.ae is run by a small team of UAE residents with backgrounds in financial product management, technology, and consumer journalism. We've all held the wrong credit card at some point in our lives, and we're using that hard-won knowledge to help you pick a better one.
