Add in the long tail of Carrefour delivery, Talabat groceries and standalone retailers and an online-heavy household can easily run AED 4,000 to AED 8,000 a month through online channels. The right card on that spend will earn you AED 2,000+ a year in net rewards. The wrong card will give you a few hundred dirhams of base cashback and nothing more.

What "Online" Actually Means on a UAE Card
The UAE banks tag online transactions by the merchant category code (MCC) that is attached to the transaction, not whether you typed a 16-digit number or tapped your phone. So if you do a contactless tap at a Carrefour checkout it's still "supermarket," not "online," even if you used Apple Pay. By contrast, a Noon delivery pickup that you order through the app is "online" because the merchant codes it as such.
This matters because online cashback caps are often generous (AED 200 to AED 500 a month) but the bonus only applies to transactions that the merchant codes correctly. Check the first month's statement to be sure the cashback has been posted as expected, and dispute the categorization with the bank if it hasn't.

FAB Cashback Credit Card
FAB has structured its cashback around online and contactless spend, with the usual 5 percent on online (capped) and 2 percent on contactless local. For a household spending AED 5,000 online per month, that's AED 250 cash back each month until the cap kicks in, or about AED 3,000 a year. For higher spenders, ADCB 365's structure rewards consistency over peak online category rates. If your online spend is part of a wider AED 25,000+ monthly mix, the flat 2 percent on international online beats a capped 5 percent on competitors once you blow through their cap.

Liv. sometimes runs promotional cashback campaigns for Amazon.ae and Noon, which you can find inside the Liv. app. The base earn is modest, but stacked with no annual fee, this is the cleanest always-on online card for a starter household.
Wio Card
Wio has been very aggressive in online cashback campaigns, especially during White Friday and Ramadan windows. Good to have as a second card for the specific campaign.
What to Watch in the Fine Print
Online cashback caps. A "10 percent on online" headline with a AED 100 monthly cap is worth AED 1,200 a year, max. Read the cap before celebrating the rate.
MCC quirks at hybrid merchants. Sometimes the Carrefour delivery is coded as supermarket and sometimes as online, depending on whether you have ordered directly from carrefour.ae or through a third-party aggregator. The cashback rate flips accordingly.
Foreign currency online spend. Most UAE cards have a 2.5 to 3.5 percent foreign exchange markup when buying from US Amazon, UK ASOS or Chinese Taobao. That markup eats up all the online cashback. For international online spend, use a card with explicit zero-FX or low-FX positioning (HSBC Premier, certain ENBD products).
How to Pick
Look at three months of statements. Track your spending with Amazon.ae, Noon, Namshi, Sharaf DG and the long tail. If the spend is concentrated above AED 4,000 monthly online, FAB Cashback or Mashreq Cashback is the right primary card.
